comments about that issue. my issue is with the san francisco police department. i want you to listen to what i have to say today. every place where i go, i always feel the presence of the san francisco police department. on friday, around 3:50 p.m., when i was in the part in mission, i heard the peculiar noise of the police car. with that in mind, i stopped. i did not see any cars. i proceed walking. all of a sudden, i see this black car. i do not know how many miles per hour. of course, i saw inside the black car a san francisco police officer. i stopped, but of course i had to wait. i probably would have been run over by the san francisco police department. i am tired of being harassed by the san francisco police department. i am asking the mayor -- i am in your district. i would like to find out if anybody in the board of supervisors can assist me in this issue. president chiu: thank you very much. next speaker. >> supervisors, i am glad most of you are in your chairs. i think that people address you. it is right that you be in your chairs. when you have the sidebar comments, it i

faces. >>pam: san francisco police are putting on something he may not expect. >> the 49ers have asked some of the cost to word near giant attire. >>pam: developing news involving occupy protests furious protesters who have been demonstrating all day long have just smashed a number of windows at a luxury car dealership at venice and apparel. there were no police in the area at the time of the incident. witnesses say some 300 people were marching down van ness avenue toward city hall when the vandalism occurred by a few of the protesters. several windows were shattered. they have since left the area. no one was in the building at the time. as we have been reporting, the protesters were disruptive but have been peaceful and holding rallies in the financial district in front of bank of america and goldman sacks. those demonstrations started early this morning and so far police have made at least 17 arrests. reggie kumar is live at justin herman plaza with the latest. >>reggie: this is where protesters started. thai am told the protesters are still on van ness and headed toward city hall.

. >>> it is 5:03 now. a standoff between police and a burglary suspect in san francisco is approaching 12 hours. the suspect ran from officers and is trying to hide on telegraph hill surrounded by police and fires. terry mcsweeney is there and terry there are bright lights shining on him and he doesn't like that. >> reporter: he doesn't like that he has asked police to turn off those lights and the answer was, no. let me show you where this guy is where the lights are shining telegraph hill down from coit tower. in those bushes is where san francisco police say this burglary suspect is holed up and has been for much of the time since 6:00 last evening. as we go up the hill. according to police, you see the light on, that is where this person was spotted burglarizing a condo or apartment up there. the manager confronted him. he punished the manager away and may his getaway. >> took off into this bush hill area that you see behind us. it is pretty -- 10 to 20 foot high pushes. our tactical team was out and they said because of the night and the terrain it was dangerous to go down there after him.

fisherman's wharf as paramedic took away an assault suspect in an ambulance. san francisco police say the suspect attacked a female juvenile in these bushes in front of the union building. >> it does not make any sense that someone would try something like this at this particular area. not too far from where a lot of tourists are here 24 hours a day all over the world. >> reporter: some employees at this 7-eleven two blocks away say the teen age bought a few things here with a group of people early this morning when the group lost track of her. police won't confirm that but do say they got a call a girl was missing around 2:30 a.m. that's when they launched extra patrols. just before 4:00 a.m. one police unit saw something going on in the bushes at 400 northpointe, rescued the young woman and arrested the male suspect. she was part of a group visiting from another country. tourists at fisherman's wharf say it's a scary situation but an isolated incident that won't stop them from enjoying the city. >> i definitely would come back. i think it's a great city. >> reporter: the suspect was

the news right now and new this morning, san francisco police are investigating an attack that happened on a young tourist right near fisherman's wharf. lorraine is back here and there is still a lot of police activity going on right now, right? >> reporter: there is a lot of police activity going on, dave and police are collecting evidence behind these bushes and we just got off the phone with san francisco police public information officer and they got a report of the missing juvenile at 2:30 a.m. which is when they sent out extra patrols in fisherman's wharf area. they noticed a young woman being attacked in the bushes, police rescued the juvenile and arrested the suspect. both suspect and victim were transported to local hospitals and authorities are not releasing their conditions at this point. police tell us the young woman was a tourist from another country and she somehow got separated from her group early this morning. they are still trying to figure out where the woman was headed when the assault happened. we are sticking by and we were first on scene early this morning. for n
